Samadhi; this is a word we hear much about these days with little understanding of what it truly implies. What is left when there is complete cessation of self? What is left to observe once there is no mind? The Yogis called the observer from behind the scenes Perusha, or pure consciousness. In the entheogenic community, we mainly understand this as ego release or ego death.
